Dark Tower

(no subject)

I'm not usually too interested in directors slamming each others work, since there's likely to be all sorts of politics involved. But when Alan Parker, who made Angel Heart, says he would have made Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone so much better than Chris Columbus, I can only agree.

He goes on to say Terry Gilliam would have been better still. It makes my heart all aflutter for what might have been (and I think they were both under consideration).

But again, I'm looking forward to Alfonso Cuarón on Azkaban, and Mike Newell might be interesting on Goblet of Fire -- if they can get any script at all out of that book.

Meanwhile, my Angel book has gone out to playtest (but I still can't tell you what it is). It's all very exciting -- the abject despair comes later.
